Eric Bailly’s recent injury has kept fans together with his fellow players in doubt if he would play in the upcoming games where they would be in action with Burnley and Liverpool.

The 26 year-old defender picked a suspected neck injury during his side’s FA Cup win over Watford on Saturday, January 9. Bailly picked the injury after his own keeper clattered him.

Speaking on the injury, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said, “His head is fine. There is no concussion or anything like that. But we have got to do scans.”

The 26-year-old defender also took to social media to announce his situation.

“Good job by the team to advance in the #FACup. I am OK, it was just a knock,” he tweeted.

Eric Bailly, who was enjoying a meteoric resurgence after his recent injury, lasted only for 45 minutes during the game against Watford.

He has established himself as one of Solskjaer’s key men at United’s heart of defence and him missing the upcoming games will force Solskjaer to fill his gap by placing Victor Lindelof.

The Red Devils are looking to use the Burnley clash to open a three-point gap over Liverpool since they are both at the joint top of the league standings.

Manchester United are now through to the fourth round of the competition.
