If you are a fan of Bongo music you will definitely notice that when it comes to YouTube, they tend to get many views in a matter of hours. This is in the likes of Diamond Platnumz, Harmonize, Rayvanny, Zuchu, Nandy, Jux and many others.
When you compare their views to Kenyan musician’s views, Bongo musicians break YouTube views in a matter of hours than Kenyans and many netizens believe that they are doing much better compared to Kenyan singers.
Speaking on Wednesday, April 28, on Instagram through a post, Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones has talked about Tanzania music breaking YouTube views.
Khaligraph was celebrating his latest project dubbed, Luku, which dropped two days ago. The song has been received well by fans and is doing well and Khali screenshot to show that it amassed slightly over 250k+ views.
In the caption he insinuated that one cannot compare rap music and other music like bongo in a matter of views.
“LUKU doing a Quarter Mill, Msikuje hapa kuniambia sijui akina harmonize na wasafi wanapatanga hizi numbers in 2hrs, this is hip-hop bana, you have to respect the OG, Best Rapper in Africa…”
The song features ‘The Industry’ which comprises of many Kenyan artistes. They include; Katapilla, Donn J, Steph Kapella, Brit the Ruler, Ssaru, Boutross, and his big brother Span KOB.
Even though the song was nationally received well by many, fellow rapper Octopizzo mocked the song claiming that no one in Kenya dresses well than him hence degrading Khaligraph Jones.
A while back former gospel singer turned secular Willy Paul also advised Kenyan artistes to stop comparing themselves to Tanzanian celebrities by breaking their set musical records.
