Kenyan socialite Bridget Achieng is reported to have been sued by a Chinese over KSh 1 million debt that her company had with Smant Company Limited.
The Chinese Company partnered up with Bridget’s company for her Nai Fest event that was held on Saturday, November 7 2020 at the Ngong Race Course.
Urbannews254 also reported through a source that the former Nairobi Diaries cast was taken to court by a Chinese partner for allegedly breaching their contract and that she was being demanded the Ksh 1 million debt.
The latest claim comes after she also faced many accusations after helding the Nai Fest event since she was also being demanded to pay a supplier known as Cynthia Owuor KSh 138,800 for liquor she supplied during the event. She however denied the claims stating that she doesn’t respond to false allegations.
There was also an incident that shook many people during the Saturday, November 7 Nai Fest event after a 17-year-old boy who attended the event was killed. In videos that surfaced online, the boy known as Shanty was seen being beaten up by bodyguards in the midst of the crowd. He was later found dead at Nairobi City Mortuary.
Teens who witnessed and took videos claimed that they found Shanty dead, after checking her pulse, at the event ground but Bridget claimed that he was not dead and that they rushed him to the hospital.
The father, Geoffrey Gikonyo, took the case to IPOA to seek justice for his son. Shanty’s friend was reported to have taken her life days after his death due to depression.
